Terms of Use

Last updated: October 5, 2026

The short version: Emojio is free to use. An optional Premium upgrade (the Lifetime Unlock) adds more sounds and features — a one‑time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing recurring, ever.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Made with Best Practice ("we", "us") governing your use of the Emojio Paint Composer app ("Emojio", "the app"). By downloading or using Emojio, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Your licence

We grant you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable licence to use Emojio on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, resell, reverse‑engineer, or redistribute the app except as allowed by law.

2. Free and Premium

Emojio is free to download and use, with no time limit. The free version includes the full composer, a starter set of sounds, sharing, audio export, and a small number of saved songs. Premium adds every sound, video export, MIDI keyboard support, Apple Pencil pressure, and unlimited saved songs.

For the first 3 days after you first open the app, Premium is included free. After that, the app simply returns to the free version — nothing you made is deleted, and you are never charged unless you choose to buy Premium. The free days do not automatically convert into any paid plan.

3. Premium — the Lifetime Unlock (one‑time purchase)

4. Payment, restore, and refunds

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never receive your payment details. Because the unlock is tied to your Apple ID, you can Restore Purchases to regain access on a new device or after reinstalling. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue App Store refunds directly.

5. Your content

Songs you create in Emojio are yours. They are stored on your device, and you may share them as links. When you share a link, the song is encoded within the link and anyone who has it can open the song — share thoughtfully. You are responsible for the content you create and share.

6. Acceptable use

Use Emojio lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt the app, circumvent Premium or the purchase, or use it to infringe others' rights.

7. Disclaimer

Emojio is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error‑free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Emojio. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

9. Apple's standard terms

Emojio is licensed, not sold. Your use is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). Where these Terms and Apple's standard EULA differ, the terms more protective of you apply. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
